THE DIRECTOR
NATIONALSERVICE SECRETARIAT
WESTERN-REGION
SEKONDI-TAKORADI

Dear Sir,

SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVING NATIONAL SERVICE POSTINGS AND REGISTRATION

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the western regional national service scheme on a successful posting and registration. Though I admired the accommodation for all complaints, I must however say, I believe the NSS registration could be better. The bureaucracy in getting registered is just pathetic. I however believe everything cannot be changed in a day but certain things could be easily done.
Firstly, the contact of the various companies personnel’s have been posted to could be on the appointment letters so as to avoid them returning to the office after a search through town to locate such companies. Personnel coming from outside the region go through so much stress locating their posted workplaces. I unfortunately had witnessed a gentleman who after registering had to come back the next day because searching for the company he was posted to (Boisson constructions) proved futile. Again, including the contact address on the website would go a long way to reducing the number of people with such complaints and will be one step to reducing the cumbersomeness and crowdedness of getting registered.
Also I must say that the wait to know where one has been posted is heart threatening but I believe your office could intermittently update and assure awaiting persons on the progress of your work to at least make them confident and look forward to it peacefully.
I hope and believe the above points enumerated will be viewed and if possible implemented by your noble office. I am humbled to have had your listening ear.
 Yours sincerely,
