evil triumph when good men do nothing

OSEI-POKU JUNIOR

THE DIRECTOR

WESTERN REGION
ALLOWANCE DEDUCTIONS
The activity of NASPA has been reduced significantly to organisation of service week, meetings and congress .This unfortunate realization is not the doing of the stars or nature but the limited foresightedness of our leaders from the national level through the regional to the district levels of NASPA. Young leaders are now mostly interested in their own selfish interests than the determination to cause a positive change to the lives of our subjects.
In my view, NASPA (national) has not done anything new since ascension onto the glorious seat as president by Hon. Vincent Ekow but the continuation of the old rusted chain of activities i.e. meeting, congress and eventually week celebration. Rumours, from deductions to the making of citations and today, information blaring from the regional desk is an allowance deduction for the making of T-shirts, hand bands and other materials has been the order of our long awaited months.
I wish to state that the recent decision or proposal to deduct 20 cedis from all service personnel allowance (though not approved yet); 15 cedis; for making of T shirts and souvenirs and 5 cedis shared proportionally to all arms (national, regional, district of NASPA) is rather unfortunate since the 40 cedis dues paid (proportioned or not) at the beginning of service is to cover these items and not for organisation of a glorious and extravagant hotel venued congress', like the recent one. I believe this is a clear indication of the abuse of the NASPA constitution and therefore article 18.1(1b) which
gives congress the power to make deductions as and when necessary should be re visited and amended.
I also wish to state that unless it’s a welfare need, allowances of service persons shouldn't be deducted and this provision of shirts and wrist bands cannot be considered as one. Just like NSS cloth, these items should be optional. These deductions done in the former administration (Awortwe Wilberforce’s Administration) don’t make it right and if not stopped now, posterity will judge us all.
Yours sincerely,

Osei-Poku Junior

Again, another great one goes...

Well our tears had hardly dried from the death of a great mentor to africans, Nelson Mandela than we heard of the fall of another.
That which started as a rumour on facebook and everyone wanted to know why anyone could spread such ridiculous rumour because we couldn't just believe it.
This gentleman I marvelled and admired so much due to the heights he had reach at the age of 41 had passed away.I couldn't help than remember when he was last mentioned.
Just a week ago when Kojo Oppong Nkrumah was telling his story of how he had started at joy fm and the strange but effective way "the boss player" had trained him.
Unfortunately Komla Afeke Dumor had died and the rumours eventually became true.I personally loved his dressing, his voice and such a great man had just passed on.
Kombla da yie, you were a mentor and you inspired me so much and I will continue to learn from you from your videos on youtube.
You will be remembered.
Dumor da yie, the great land of Africa has lost another great man
Afeke damrifa due, due ooo, due
